Lunches in Schools LiS programme and Enviroschools:

Miller Avenue School is proud to offer a wonderful Lunches in Schools programme! A nutritious and varied menu is prepared in our own kitchen at school by our expert Lunches in Schools team. All food for students is provided at school.  We request that children therefore do not bring in any food from home.

Morning tea is served at 10.30am and lunch at 12.35pm.  A healthy afternoon snack is also provided.

Lunches and snacks are packaged in polystyrene boxes for each class and portioned for junior and senior sizes. These are delivered from the kitchen each day and labelled for classrooms. All classes receive food for the total class roll, there will be spares for those who are absent (we encourage teachers to eat also, to encourage their classes to eat).

Students eat outside their classrooms, or in class on a mat depending on the weather (teachers supervise).  Each class is provided suitable bins for their waste.  As an Enviroschool school, our aim is to reduce food scraps and packaging waste.

 When making payments, please include your child's name and what the payment is for ie: van, library book etc.  You can also make regular automatic payments to cover any school experiences of a lumo sum payment to cover smaller items during the eyar.  Please contact the office administrator if you need assistance.
